STAYING IN THE EU

Our parliament and our courts can’t strike down EU laws which are against the UK’s interest.

One major issue is that the EU’s Open Door Policy to 500 million Europeans – anybody can come “legally” to the UK. This is an EU law that Britain has no control over whatsoever.

The UK is in a position where it can’t make any major decisions that it needs to make in order to be a successful country in the world.

We can’t protect our country’s jobs because the EU has got OUR place on the World Trade Organisation Board, so the UK can’t impose an anti-dumping duty on low cost Chinese imports for a short or long period of time or until it is wise to relax import duties.

Net migration is now 323,000 a year  the highest figure for 25 years (318,000 2014 and 200,000 2013) although national insurance numbers allocated in the same period would suggest this figure is grossly underestimated and should be closer to 1 million people per year. No doubt these figures would rise next year unless we we leave the European union.

Despite the above David Cameron promised to reduce net migration to the TENS OF THOUSANDS a year. Mr Cameron’s promise just can’t happen whilst we’re in the EU, he must have know his words were a lie when he said them.

The British taxpayers are contributing £50 million a day, yes £50 million a day, for the privilege of being a member of our soon to be a defunct European union.

The British government receives some of the UK Taxpayers money back but it must be spent on what the EU’s unelected staff tell Britain to spend it on whether we agree or not.

Every day ministers are told, sorry minister you can’t do that it’s against EU rules. This shows just how much control we have given away of our own country. This is not the position to be in as the fifth largest economy  in the world.

If we remain in a union who’s currency is failing, who’s migrant crisis has led, according to the chief of Europoll, of up to 5000 Islamic extremists arriving in Europe in the space of last year. Also that we would be part of Europe that wants Turkey with a population of around 75 million to be a EU member within the space of five years. Truly a very dangerous prospect indeed.

Should our prime minister be seen begging to small countries who we subsidise through our EU contributions asking if it’s okay for Britain to change some of it’s own welfare laws. Certainly the UK should not be put in a position to do this considering it’s role in the world over many hundreds of years.

There has been no “reform” of the EU. David Cameron asked for next to nothing and got even less. Just restructuring in-work migrant benefits for a short period of time is no reform at all. Other reforms not granted include:

  • There have been no treaty changes.
  • We haven’t repatriated any powers to our parliament.
  • We haven’t reduced the powers of the European courts.
  • We have not reduced our EU budget contributions.
  • We have no control over a huge area of our national life.

Our Steel Industry is in dire straits due to the EU imposing huge energy prices via it’s energy legislation and because of EU laws Britain can’t impose proper protective import duty tariffs.
